G7 Ambassadors come to Odesa: Russia must respect the "grain agreement"

Ambassadors of the G7 countries to Ukraine came to Odesa, stating the importance of the agreement on the export of Ukrainian agro-industrial products.

British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons said.

"My fellow G7 ambassadors and I are in Odesa with Turkey to emphasize the importance of the UN-brokered agreement that allows for the export of food from Ukraine. Russia must respect the agreement," Simmons wrote on her Twitter.

As reported, an initiative was signed last Friday in Istanbul between Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN to work with the export of Ukrainian food by sea.

The very next day after the agreement was signed, Russia violated it by shelling the port of Odesa, condemned by the UN, the EU and the US, while Ankara urged the parties to comply with the agreements reached.
