The Joint Grain Corridor Coordination Center began its work in Istanbul

On Wednesday, July 27, the opening ceremony of the Joint Coordination Center (JCC), organized to control the transportation of grain from Ukrainian ports, was held in Istanbul. This was reported by Anadolu Agency. Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar attended the event.

The center works at the National Defense University of Turkey. In addition to representatives of Turkey, Ukraine and Russia, there are diplomats from the UN.

Employees of this center should conduct inspection of ships with Ukrainian grain transported from the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny.

Hulusi Akar noted the importance of ensuring the delivery of 25 million tons of Ukrainian grain to countries that have to buy agricultural products. Regular deliveries of grain, he said, will help to reduce the price of food products and solve the problem related to food.

At the same time, he noted that there is no need for clearance of sea zones under the agreement on the "grain corridor".

"Preparation for grain supply in Ukrainian ports continues," explained the head of the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
