UN Secretary General unequivocally condemns rocket attack on commercial port in Odesa

UN Secretary-General António Guterres unequivocally condemns the missile attack on the commercial port of Odesa the day after the signing of agreements in Istanbul on grain exports through the Black Sea.

 

"The secretary-general unequivocally condemns reports of strikes today at the Ukrainian port of Odessa. Yesterday, all parties made clear commitments on the world stage to ensure the safe movement of Ukrainian grain and related products to world markets. These products are essential to overcome the global food crisis and alleviate the suffering of millions of people in need around the world," the deputy press secretary of the UN Secretary-General said in a statement.

 

The UN stressed that the full implementation of the agreements between Russia, Ukraine and Turkey is mandatory.
