The head of the territorial defense of Dnipropetrovsk region Gennadiy Korban could not enter Ukraine on Friday with a Ukrainian passport, because border guards informed him about the termination of his citizenship, the UP reports.
According to sources close to Korban, the border guards seized his foreign passport and also did not accept his internal passport from the application "Diya", explaining this by the fact that his citizenship ceased.
According to the source, they said that he could enter using a passport of another country in case there was one, or apply to the consular office of Ukraine abroad.
However, they could not demonstrate the presidential decree on the loss of Korban's citizenship.
We shall remind you that on Thursday, people's deputy Sergey Vlasenko (faction "Batkivschyna") made public a copy of the decree of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on the loss of Ukrainian citizenship to a number of persons, including businessmen Igor Kolomoysky, Gennady Korban, MP Vadym Rabinovych. There is still no official confirmation of the existence of this decree.
