The U.S. sees no indication that the weapons provided by Ukraine may be leaving the country as contraband, a Pentagon military spokesman said.
"We're not tracing the weapons. I mean, the Ukrainians are using the weapons we provided them, and we don't see any indication that those weapons have gone anywhere else but to fight the Russians," the U.S. official said during the briefing.
He noted that "we also don't see any indication anywhere else that these weapons have been transferred to anyone other than the AFU."
The U.S. military official also said the U.S. has transferred a third batch of U.S. HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) to Ukraine, but he has no information about their use.
"I know they are using the first eight. I don't know what they do with the last four. We handed them over to the Ukrainians. I don't know if they are in Ukraine or not," he said.
At the same time, the official noted that Ukrainian fighters use HIMARS effectively, which has a good impact on the military situation.
