The British Foreign Office summoned Russian ambassador to London Andrei Kelin to express deep concern over the reported death of British citizen Paul Yuri in the captivity of the so-called "DNR." This was reported in a statement published on the website of the British government.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said she was shocked by reports of the death of British aid worker Paul Urie while in detention by Russian proxies in Ukraine.

"Russia should take full responsibility for this. Paul Urie was captured while doing humanitarian work. He was in Ukraine to try to help the Ukrainian people in the face of an unprovoked Russian invasion," said Liz Truss.

"The Russian government and its proxy forces continue to commit crimes. Those responsible will be held accountable," she added.

It was previously reported that British aid worker Paul Urie, 45, who was captured by the so-called "DPR" militants in April, died five days ago.
