Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian objected that Tehran was going to sell Moscow hundreds of drones for the war in Ukraine. He said this in an interview with La Repubblica.
"We have different forms of cooperation with Russia, including in defense: but we will not help any of the parties involved in this war because we believe it must be stopped," the Iranian diplomat said.
He added that "the current problem with the conflict is that some Western countries, including the United States, have arms manufacturers trying to sell their products."
"We will avoid any action that could lead to escalation, but we will work to stop the war," the Iranian foreign minister said.
As a reminder, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan earlier said that the US had information that Russia could obtain hundreds of drones from Iran for use in the war against Ukraine.
