Words must be backed up by actions: the OP responded to Russia's complaints about the "freezing" of dialogue with Ukraine

If Russia wants to resume dialogue with Ukraine, it must back up its words with actions - in particular, cease-fire and withdrawal of its troops. Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President, stated this on his Twitter.

"The classic "Russian" face at a bad game: you destroy cities, arrange public executions, prepare annexation, but talk about wanting negotiations. "If Patrushev wants dialogue, words should be backed up with actions: a cease-fire, immediate withdrawal of troops, closing the Russia Peace project in Ukraine," Podolyak wrote.

The secretary of the Russian Security Council, Patrushev, had previously said that the Russian leadership was interested in reaching political and diplomatic agreements with Ukraine as soon as possible.

"Russia is interested in reaching as soon as possible political and diplomatic agreements that would allow the cessation of hostilities. However, negotiations between Moscow and Kiev are now frozen by the Ukrainian side," he said.
