The first shipment of Ukrainian grain arrived in Spain via the Baltic Sea

Early Monday morning a ship with 18 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn arrived at a port in northwestern Spain. The ship was taking a new route through the Baltic Sea.

This is reported by CNN.

The cargo ship Alppila, which was carrying corn, arrived at the Spanish port of A Coruña and is due to be unloaded by Tuesday.

"This is the first shipment of Ukrainian grain to reach northwest Spain by sea, using a new sea route opened in the Baltic Sea to avoid the Russian Navy's blockade of Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea since the war began," Agafac, a group of animal feed producers, said in a statement.

The company's director, Bruno Bide, said the shipment that arrived will help restore the possibility of imports from Ukraine.

He said Agafac, a regional group of animal feed producers from Galicia, normally imports 40 percent of its corn from Ukraine between January and June each year, part of a total of 1 million tons of corn it imports annually for livestock feed.

Agafac said in a statement that the shipment of corn left western Ukraine by truck for Poland and Romania before being loaded onto a ship in the Polish port of Swinoujscie in the Baltic Sea.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian government has developed two routes for grain exports. They pass through Poland and Romania.

In addition, Ankara offered Moscow to hold talks between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN to create corridors for the export of grain from the blocked Ukrainian ports.

Meanwhile, Russia stole already the third ship with metal from Azovstal and Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of the Metinvest Group. Now the ship is heading to Rostov.

This is reported by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Peter Andryushchenko.

"It is indicative that this happened on Russia Day," Andryushchenko stressed.

The other day Russian media reported that a second ship loaded with stolen metal in Mariupol had arrived in Rostov.

Earlier, vice-president for economic education at the Kyiv School of Economics Oleh Nivyevskyy said that the Ukrainian authorities should document as much as possible for the court every action of those who stole grain and metal, because the issue of the survival of the agro-industrial complex and the MMC is the issue of Ukraine's survival.

In his turn, the general director of Zaporizhstal Oleksandr Mironenko stated that the company's lawyers do everything possible to bring everyone involved in this theft to justice.
