Ukraine will not receive weapons from Bulgaria. The country's parliament refused to grant military assistance at the request of Ukrainian Ambassador Vitaliy Moskalenko. This was reported by The Sofia Globe.

"The National Assembly has decided - Bulgaria will not export weapons to Ukraine. The case is closed," said the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and Economy Minister Kornelia Ninova.

For his part, Prime Minister Kirill Petkov, speaking Tuesday, June 7, told reporters that there is a parliamentary decision on military and technical assistance to Ukraine and "we will adhere to the decision of the National Assembly."

"I think that what we have done so far for Ukraine, at the level of support for refugees, at the level of funds that we have invested so far for humanitarian aid, that we will repair their equipment that cannot be repaired elsewhere, we will do it in Bulgaria," he said.

Petkov recalled that Bulgaria supported "all measures when it comes to sanctions against Russia."

"I think the Bulgarian state has done enough in this direction, and we will continue to support them," he said, adding that the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine should not be revisited every two weeks.
