Johnson received a vote of confidence from Britain's parliament

The House of Commons of the British Parliament announced the results of a secret vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

This is reported by the British edition of The Guardian.

The Conservatives did not have enough votes to declare a vote of no confidence in Johnson. Thus, the head of the British government received immunity for a year.

According to Graham Brady, head of the 1922 Conservative Committee, a total of 359 MPs voted. There was not a single spoiled ballot.

The votes were distributed as follows:

211 - supported Johnson.

148 - expressed no confidence.

However, it should be noted that, according to the results of the vote, the current head of the British government is not trusted by more than 40% of deputies of his own party.

Despite the fact that according to the Conservative Party's rules, once a vote of no confidence is rejected, the British prime minister receives a year's immunity, this rule can potentially be changed.

For his part, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson thanked the Conservatives who refused to give him a vote of no confidence. He called the vote a convincing and decisive result for the country.

About it reports Reuters.

Johnson said he was not going to hold early parliamentary elections after MPs from the ruling Conservative Party expressed their confidence in him.

The politician stressed that now the government "can move on and focus on what really matters to people.

In addition, he jokingly stated in his speech that his fellow party members need to "celebrate right now at the party."
