Russia wants to involve the CSTO countries to occupy part of the territory of Ukraine. The head of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov said of such plans, the UP reports.
"It cannot be ruled out that "peacekeepers" from the CSTO countries will be in demand," he said.
The Russian deputy specified that this will be possible after the Russian Federation occupies the entire territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
"Because we are unlikely to agree that any NATO countries will try to get in there under the guise of peacekeepers, although this topic has been thrown in by our former Western partners more than once or twice," he said.
