Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine create risks of involving third countries in the conflict. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov "warned" the West of the possible consequences. This was reported by Interfax.

Lavrov commented on the possible provision of "NATO" multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine. He believes that in this way Ukraine allegedly wants to drag the West into the conflict.

"This is a direct provocation aimed at drawing the West into military action," he said.

The foreign minister also assured that Russia has transmitted its "warnings" through channels that exist between Russia and key Western states.

"Not everyone, frankly speaking, in the European Union, especially in its northern part, (understands this). There are politicians who are ready to go along with this madness for the sake of satisfying their ambitions," Lavrov said.
