Slovak President visited Irpen and Borodyanka and met with Zelensky

Slovak President Zuzana Chaputova arrived in Ukraine and on Tuesday she visited Irpen and Borodianka, which were destroyed by Russian troops. Chaputova said so in a post on Facebook.

"In Borodyanka and Irpen, I saw with my own eyes the traces of the devastation brought to Ukraine by Russian soldiers. Hundreds of kilometers to the east and south, thousands of other Ukrainian civilians - women, men, children - still face the same devastation. I believe that when this nightmare ends, Ukraine will blossom again. Just as flowers bloomed today among the destroyed houses in Borodyanka or in Irpen," Chaputova wrote.

Chaputova also met today in Kiev with President Volodymyr Zelensky, said Andrei Sibiga, deputy head of the Office of the President.

"Zuzana confirmed Zuzana" - this is the slogan of the visit of the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Chaputova to Kiev. And Zuzany is also the Slovakian 155mm SAU. And also personal lobbying for Ukraine's EU candidate status, defense support, cooperation in the energy sector, and possibly customs control," Sibiga wrote on his Facebook page.

Chaputova addressed the Verkhovna Rada MPs.

The publication Aktuality reports that Chaputova will also hold talks with Prime Minister Denys Shmygal. The director of the Communications Department of the Slovak presidential office, Josef Matej, said that upon her return from Ukraine, Chaputova would hold a special press conference.
