In order to establish exports from Ukraine, it is not necessary to improve Russia's position and lift a number of sanctions to do so. It is enough for the Kremlin to unblock Ukrainian ports. Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Office of the President, stated this.
"When any of the leaders of international institutions say that it is necessary to remove sanctions from Russia in order to take something out of Ukraine, I think that anything can be taken out of Ukraine as part of export programs only if Russia withdraws its ships from the Black Sea, which we need for transportation corridors. Let us prove to Russia that they should withdraw to a certain distance and not interfere with export of Ukrainian grain to the world markets" - he said.
A reminder that recently, UN Secretary-General António Guterres proposed to lift a number of sanctions against Russia in exchange for the Kremlin to unblock grain exports from Ukraine.
