Occupiers steal grain, oil, vegetables and agricultural machinery in Ukraine - Ministry of Agrarian Policy

The occupiers, in addition to stealing 500 thousand grains in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, also illegally exported tens of thousands of tons of sunflower oil and hundreds of kilograms of vegetables. They also steal agricultural machinery from Ukrainian farmers.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky.

"The occupants in the Kherson, Zaporozhzhia, Luhansk, Donetsk regions took out about 500 thousand tons of grain. Plus it is known about the export of several tens of thousands of tons of sunflower oil. Unprecedented thefts continue," he said.

According to him, the ministry is monitoring the situation. "We are documenting everything. And we will definitely fight on all fronts for the return of stolen goods and full compensation for the damage," Vysotsky said.

He added that there have been recorded facts of theft of agricultural equipment as well. "Our farmers have modern machinery. On the GPS you can clearly track that it went to the territory of the Russian Federation and Crimea," - said the first deputy minister.

According to him, the occupiers also stole several hundred kilograms of vegetables in Ukrainian communities, which are now in the temporarily occupied territories.

"In addition, they had an attempt to export it. We through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, through international cooperation blocked its import into our partner states. Therefore, it is likely that they will somehow use it internally for their own purposes", - said Vysotsky.

Recall, Russian ships transporting stolen Ukrainian grain to Syria have been caught on satellite images. Russia uses three ships for this purpose, one of them the bulk carrier Mater Pozinich.
