The West has launched a proxy war against Russia. Such a military conflict always runs the risk of escalating into a full-fledged war with the use of nuclear weapons.
Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, said this.
"Pumping Ukraine with weapons by NATO countries, preparing its troops to use Western equipment, sending mercenaries and conducting exercises by Alliance countries near Russia's borders increase the likelihood of a direct and open conflict between NATO and Russia instead of the 'proxy war' they are waging," Medvedev said.
According to the official, a potential conflict between NATO and Russia could escalate into a nuclear war, which would be "a catastrophic scenario for everyone."
