The Russian leadership does not believe it can be held accountable for war crimes committed in Ukraine. Moscow is openly talking about nuclear weapons. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an interview.
"Russia does not believe it will be punished for war crimes in Ukraine because of nuclear blackmail," Zelensky said in an interview with the British foreign policy think tank Chatham House.
According to him, Russian leaders talk openly about nuclear weapons. Zelensky noted that Moscow is calling the time in which Russian missiles could reach European cities.
"They do this because of a sense of impunity. Russia is blackmailing Europe with threats in this way," he added.
