Ukraine's most powerful thermal power plant, the Zaporizhzhia Thermal Power Plant (TPP), has stopped in occupied Energodar. Due to the occupation and military operations, it is impossible to deliver coal to the plant.
This was reported by the mayor of Energodar Dmitry Orlov.
"Unfortunately, this is a forced step - the plant has run out of coal. And there is no possibility to organize its regular delivery. This is due to both the occupation of our city, and the logistical difficulties due to the constant hostilities in the south of Ukraine, destroyed infrastructure, bridges and sections of the railroad," said the mayor.
Light, heat and hot water supply in Energodar, according to the mayor, will be transferred to ZNPP. But it is not excluded that the temperature of hot water will be reduced by a few degrees.
"The staff of the heating plant is temporarily transferred to forced downtime. This is the result of the "liberators" in Energodar. One of many examples of destruction and destruction of everything they can reach", - noted the head of the mayor's office.
