The Verkhovna Rada has supported an appeal to the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. 344 MPs voted for the corresponding draft resolution No. 7341, a member of the "Golos" faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported in his Telegram channel.

Ukrainian parliamentarians urged the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate to strengthen sanctions against the Russian Federation and cooperating states and supporting its terrorist regime, in particular sanctions under the status of a state sponsor of terrorism.

At the same time, the Rada insists on the need to impose sanctions against the government and business circles and political parties of the Russian Federation that support the war against Ukraine.

People's deputies of Ukraine also call for the recognition as terrorist organizations of the so-called "LPR" and "DPR," as well as the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the Ukrainian parliament called on the US House of Representatives and the Senate to support all the proposed initiatives for the systematic and maximum provision of defense, sanctions, financial and humanitarian support to Ukraine, which will help the state to resist in the war against the aggressor state - the Russian Federation.
