Today, May 2, the Verkhovna Rada presented a plan for the economic recovery of Ukraine after the war. It consists of nine key principles. This is reported by the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.
The plan was developed by the team of the Office of the President and representatives of the government.
The key principles are:
Full access to EU and G7 markets. The UK and EU countries have already announced the abolition of import duties on Ukrainian goods. It is expected that the governments of the USA, Japan and Canada will take similar decisions.
Obtaining EU candidate status and then full membership.
Building an economy based on the principles of deregulation and liberalization. A declaratory principle for business has already been approved for most licenses and permits.
Setting up logistic routes to the west. The government is working on expanding their capacity. Among the results is a signed memorandum between Ukraine and Poland.
The transition from exporting raw materials to processing in the industries that provide the highest export revenues. Considerable growth can be achieved in agriculture and metallurgy due to processing.
Development of the domestic military-industrial complex. It is not only a question of buying weapons, but also of production, including through the transfer of military technology.
Self-sufficiency in the energy sector will be achieved by increasing domestic gas production and developing nuclear energy. Acquiring energy independence in three to five years is a realistic goal.
Climate modernization. Creation of new facilities in various industries should take into account the principles of a "green economy".
Localization of at least 60%. Ukrainian companies and manufacturers will be involved in the reconstruction of Ukraine. This will give a boost to the economy, create new jobs, and revitalize entrepreneurial activity.
