Turkey refused to participate in NATO exercises to be held in Greece. Turkey has accused Athens of changing the airspace delimitation between the two countries in its favor.
This was reported by Turkish TV channel NTV.
Military exercises "Meet the Tiger" are held annually in different countries to emphasize the solidarity of participating countries. This time they will take place in Greece from May 9 to 20.
According to Turkish media reports, Greece, this year, prepared the text of technical regulations for the activities before each exercise and made additions "directed against Turkey," which "manipulates" the borders, especially the airspace over the Aegean Sea.
The Turkish Air Force command made demands to change the technical regulations, but Turkey's demands were not accepted. As a result, the Turkish Air Force withdrew from the exercise. They passed the information about this to Athens.
