On April 30, a fire broke out at Sakhalin State District Power Plant 2. The fire spread from the turbine room to the roof. This was reported by TASS.

Thirty employees left the burning building on their own, the Sakhalin Oblast Ministry of Emergency Situations said. At the moment the technological process is stopped.

The fire caused the shutdown of one of the turbine generators, Sakhalinenergo said. At the same time, Sakhalin consumers still have power supply. There were no casualties.
