State Emergency Service urged Ukrainians not to visit cemeteries on memorial days

Because of the Russian invasion, the State Emergencies Service urged Ukrainians this year to refrain from visiting cemeteries on memorial days - from 1 to 3 May. This is reported by the press service of the State Emergencies Service.

"This year we call on Ukrainians to refrain from going to cemeteries. After all, the enemy continues to ruthlessly shell our territory, in many places having already made it too dangerous. Today even de-occupied territories are strewn with tens of thousands of explosive objects that require destruction. There have also been quite a few recorded instances of munitions" in the cemetery. So now the price of planting flowers on a grave or a new fence may become too high," the State Emergency Service noted.
