EU reacts to Russian strike on Kyiv during UN Secretary General's visit

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said yesterday's Russian missile attacks on Kyiv during visits by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov were a blatant disregard for international law.

"Shocked and stunned by Russia's missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine. russia is again showing its blatant disregard for international law by shelling the city in the presence of UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov," the EU diplomacy chief said.

Russian occupants hit the lower floors of a residential building in the Shevchenkovsky district of Kiev the day before. The missile attack took place while the UN Secretary General was visiting Ukraine.
