Russian President Vladimir Putin fears that in response to "threats" from Western countries, the Russian army is ready to launch lightning strikes, RBC-Ukraine reported.
"If anyone decides to interfere in the current events from the outside and pose unacceptable threats of a strategic nature to Russia, we should know that our response, retaliatory strikes will be lightning-fast, quick. We have all the tools to do this, tools that no one else can boast of at the moment. And we will not boast - we will use them if we have to! And everyone must know about it! All decisions in this regard have already been made," Putin said, speaking to Russian parliamentarians in St. Petersburg.
Russian lawmakers began to applaud him for these theses. The president of the Russian Federation threatened that all goals and objectives in the war would be "achieved." He did not clarify what he meant exactly.
Putin is also convinced that Russia will withstand the economic pressure from the sanctions imposed on it and the military expenditures for combat operations against the Ukrainian army.
He added that the West is "wrong" in its view that Russia as a country is "unnecessary" and a threat to the world. Putin added that it is precisely "the West that poses a threat to the whole world" and voiced the baseless thesis that in the 1990s and 2000s Western governments wanted to ruin Russia by encouraging and facilitating the movement for Chechnya's secession from Russia.
