The leadership of the Russian army is finalizing the identification of advantageous locations for major strikes in eastern Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Defense spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanik, the Russian army leadership is completing the determination of favorable locations for the main strikes. This is evidenced by the methods of firing, the form of construction of combat orders, the echeloning of enemy troops and continuous offensive actions in certain directions.
"The greatest activity of the occupants is observed in the direction of Izyum - Barvenkovo, in the area of the junction railway station "Popasna", Severodonetsk urbanized area, the city of Mariupol and on the road section Zaporizhzhia - Donetsk", - said Alexander Motuzyanik.
Motuzyanik also said that the enemy is preparing for a so-called "referendum" on the annexation of the occupied territories in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to the Russian Federation. To this end, an active information campaign continues in the controlled territories.
In order to replenish losses in personnel, preparations are being made for mobilization in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Occupation troops are blocking the departure of the local population, in particular men of conscription age, from the occupied territories.
