G7 announces more than $24 billion in aid to Ukraine

G7 finance ministers have announced more than $24 billion in additional support for Ukraine for 2022, adding that they are prepared to do more if necessary. This was reported by Reuters.

"G7 finance ministers said they have provided and pledged with the international community additional support for Ukraine of more than $24 billion for 2022 and beyond, adding that they are ready to do more if needed," the statement said.

The ministers said in a statement that they regret Russia's participation in international forums, including this week's meetings of the G20, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

"International organizations and multilateral forums should no longer conduct their activities with russia as usual," the ministers said.

As a reminder, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the West plans to send 50 billion euros to support Ukraine.
