Vereshchuk's statements do not help, but sow discord - Ambassador of Moldova

Moldovan Ambassador to Ukraine Valeriu Kivier says that the statements of Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereschuk on the policy of Chisinau does not help bilateral relations, but sows discord. He wrote this on his Facebook page.

"The Republic of Moldova has stood with Ukraine since the first days of the war - by concrete actions, not by pretty words. The tens of thousands of refugees that our country still hosts can tell you that. Declarations based on emotions and distorted reality will not help, but on the contrary - will only bring discord. Only together we are strength!" - the ambassador wrote.

In an interview with Jurnal TV, Iryna Vereshchuk accused Moldova of doing too little for Ukraine. She also expressed irritation that Moldova applied for membership in the European Union at the same time as Ukraine, implying that Chisinau would try to benefit from the Russian-Ukrainian war. In addition, according to Vereshchuk, the Moldovan authorities allegedly do not call the war a war.
