Kuleba to NATO: call to put aside our hesitations, we need three things - weapons, weapons and weapons

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Brussels during a briefing on Wednesday asked NATO for arms deliveries.

Kuleba flew to the Belgian capital for a meeting with the heads of diplomacy of the North Atlantic Alliance states.

"We need three things to stop the Russian army. They are weapons, weapons and weapons. The sooner we get them, the more people will be saved and the war will be limited to Ukraine. I urge allies to put aside their hesitation and uncertainty. Today weapons serve peace," said the Ukrainian foreign minister, quoted by Polish Radio.

Kuleba stressed that the Ukrainian army has shown that it can fight and win, but it needs more weapons. He added that Ukraine expects aircraft and air defense systems, long-range missiles and armored personnel carriers from NATO countries, and demands tough sanctions from the EU in the energy sphere.

"We will insist on a full embargo on oil and gas supplies," the Ukrainian foreign minister stressed.

He added that Kyiv also expects all Russian banks to be cut off from the SWIFT system and European ports closed to Russian ships, except for humanitarian aid. "I hope that there will never be a situation where the same crimes as in Bucha have to be committed in order to strengthen sanctions," the Ukrainian foreign minister stressed.
