After the start of the war with Russia, businesses were given the opportunity not to pay income tax by switching to a simplified system with a rate of 2% of turnover. Applications for the transition have already been filed by 120 thousand businesses.
This was announced at a briefing by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.
"More than 120 thousand entrepreneurs in a few days have applied for the transition to the new tax system at a rate of 2% of turnover. Also in the last 24 hours a thousand new sole proprietors have been registered through the system "Diya", - said the Head of Government at a briefing.
We shall note that the tax relief shall come into force on April 1 and will last until the abolition of martial law. Businesses have been given the opportunity not to pay income tax by transferring during martial law to a simplified system at a rate of 2% of turnover. VAT will not be charged or paid in such a case.
Companies with a turnover of up to 10 billion hryvnia will be able to pay under such rules, except for companies that, among other things, sell excisable products, those involved in the gaming industry, as well as businesses engaged in the extraction and sale of minerals.
