Norway has transferred two thousand M72 grenade launchers to Ukraine. This was reported by the Norwegian government.
"After the invasion, Ukraine began asking several countries for military equipment so they could defend themselves against Russian forces that attack both civilian and military targets. Norway, as well as several other countries, responded to the request with an additional donation of anti-tank weapons that can be used against the invasion forces," Norway's Defense Minister Odd Roger Enoxen is quoted as saying.
He adds: "If Ukraine succeeds in repelling a Russian attack, it will ensure Ukrainian sovereignty and also help maintain the norm of peaceful conflict resolution and respect for borders in Europe."
A new shipment of weapons has reportedly already been sent to Ukraine. This is the second shipment of anti-tank weapons provided by Norway.
