The head of Ukraine's presidential office, Andriy Yermak, called on Western countries to provide Ukraine with additional military aid, in particular fighter jets and air defense systems needed to "close the skies" over the country.
"We are certainly grateful for the assistance now being provided by the West, including sanctions against Russia, but the war continues. People are losing their homes and their lives," the OP head said in a commentary to MSNBC television.
According to him, the Russians are shelling Ukrainian cities with missiles several times a day, destroying them.
"And we have to understand everything that we need only victory in this war. We need fighter jets and air defense systems to close our skies. We need heavy weapons and long-range artillery, multiple rocket launchers, anti-ship missiles, combat drones, and as soon as possible," stressed the OP head.
