The talks between Ukraine and Russia in Turkey's Istanbul have come to an end. The meeting started with tête-à-tête talks between the leaders of the delegations and then continued in an extended format.

We know that the world security system has cracked. Our proposal - we have been working on the format, but we are not signing anything, on a new system of security guarantees for Ukraine. This is a new international treaty ratifying. We are trained by the Budapest Memorandum.
The guarantor countries on the analogue of NATO article 5 will consult within 3 days. The guarantor countries will be obliged to provide assistance. Among the guarantors we see the UN Security Council countries, the United States, France, Turkey, Germany, Canada, Poland, Israel.
The issues with the ORDLO and Crimea have not been resolved. Therefore, the guarantors will not work on these territories for the time being. Some countries have already given preliminary approval. This is the system on which we want to build the new future of Ukraine. Also, these guarantors should help to join the EU.
Topics of talks:
At an interim briefing, a member of the Ukrainian delegation, adviser to the head of the OP Mikhail Podolyak, stated that intensive consultations on several important issues. In particular, the delegations discussed a treaty on international security guarantees for Ukraine.
"Only with this treaty can we end the war the way Ukraine needs it," Podolyak stated.
Also discussed at the talks were the cease-fire and violations of the Geneva Convention with respect to prisoners of war from both sides.
Also, a member of the Ukrainian delegation Andrei Chalyy named the condition for Ukraine's neutrality. In particular, Ukraine is ready for neutrality if a peace treaty is agreed.

At the telemarathon, the head of the negotiating group, MP David Arahamia named Ukraine's conditions for security guarantees. He also named the countries that can act as security guarantors.
Recall that the talks between Ukraine and Russia were held today in Istanbul after a series of meetings between the delegations in the online format. Prior to that, the two delegations also met in Belarus. Before the start of today's summit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with the delegations. In his address to the representatives of Russia and Ukraine, the Turkish leader expressed hope for good news after the meeting.
