Lieutenant Colonel of the Slovenian Army Bošťan Lesiak has arrived in Kyiv and will work as Slovenia's Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine. This was reported by the Slovenian Foreign Ministry on Twitter.
"The city is empty, alarms and detonations can be heard in the distance, the other life of those left in the capital is going normally," Lesiak said when he arrived in Kyiv.
On March 15, 2022, the Slovenian prime minister visited Kyiv together with his colleagues from the Czech Republic and Poland. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with them.
On 21 March, the Slovenian government said that it planned to return its diplomats to Kiev.
