Pope Francis called on world leaders to do everything to end Russia's war against Ukraine. According to him, the senseless bloodshed must end. He wrote this on Twitter.
"The violent aggression against Ukraine, the senseless bloodshed, where every day there is devastation and cruelty, does not stop. There is no excuse for this! I implore all figures of the international community to make efforts to stop this disgusting war," he said.
Earlier, Francis spoke of the need to immediately stop the "massacre" in Ukraine before its cities are turned into cemeteries.
