Pope once again spoke out about wars after scandalous statement on Ukraine

Pope Francis condemned the wars after he called on Ukraine to "demonstrate the courage of the white flag" and start peace talks with Russia. The pontiff's statement is cited by Vatican News.

"Many young people, many young people are going to die (in the war - ed.). Let's pray to the Lord to give us the grace to overcome this madness of war, which always leads to defeat," the Pope said during his weekly audience in St. Peter's Square.

Earlier, we reported that Pope Francis made an unexpected statement in support of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia to end the war. According to him, it is necessary to find the courage to raise the "white flag".
