The French authorities have frozen the funds of the Central Bank of Russia to the amount of 22 billion euros, as well as accounts and real estate of individuals caught in the anti-Russian sanctions of Western countries. This was announced by French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire on March 20.
"We have frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to the amount of 22 billion euros. We also froze funds in the accounts of individuals in French institutions to the amount of 150 billion euros," he said on the air of RTL radio station.
According to him, real estate worth half a billion euros belonging to about 30 Russians was frozen in France.
