France has frozen the assets of the Central Bank of Russia in the amount of more than 22 billion euros

France has frozen 22 billion euros in assets of the Central Bank of Russia, French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Sunday.

 

"More than 22 billion euros of assets of the Central Bank of Russia have been frozen," he said on the French TV and radio channel RTL.

 

According to him, such sanctions will damage Russia as a state, as well as its leadership.

 

In addition, said Le Maire, "150 million euros in private accounts and real estate of 539 million euros were frozen".
