Prague City Hall wants to give Ukrainian refugees a part of the Russian embassy

Prague City Hall has made a proposal to use part of the empty buildings in the Russian embassy complex for the needs of Ukrainian refugees.

It reports ct24.ceskatelevize.cz.

According to the source, Ukrainian refugees may receive a school building at the Russian Embassy. There are no classes in it after most Russian diplomats were expelled because of the "Vrbetice case" (explosions at ammunition depots, which were set up by Russian special services).

"I sent a letter to the Russian ambassador and called for Ukrainian children to be allowed access to the building," said Ondřej Kolář, head of the Prague 6 district.

Also in the mayor's office offer to transfer a number of other buildings for the accommodation of refugees. These are the trade mission, the church on the embassy's territory, etc.
