Russian occupation troops are attempting to seize settlements near the town of Izyum in the Kharkiv region, according to a summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6 p.m., published on Facebook.
"In most directions, when attempting to advance, the enemy encounters resistance from the Armed Forces and civilian resistance from the local population. With little success, the enemy continues to launch missile and air bomb strikes, destroying military and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. It uses high-powered and indiscriminate munitions against residential areas of major cities, brazenly disregarding the norms of International Humanitarian Law," the report reads.
According to the General Staff, the grouping of defense forces continues to conduct a defense operation within the Southern, Eastern, and Northern operational zones, while the AFU, in cooperation with other components of the defense forces, successfully destroys enemy troops.
