Biden sees no diplomatic solution to end Russia's war against Ukraine

The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden sees no diplomatic solution to ending Russia's war against Ukraine. At the same time, the White House is adamant about not opening the door to any potential agreement that would lead to the capitulation of Ukraine.

This was reported by CNN.

"Our position is that we will support a negotiated solution that respects Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Period. We are applying pressure in the hope that a negotiated solution will eventually be reached, but it doesn't look like Putin wants that right now," said U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price.

In addition, the U.S. will continue to provide all kinds of reconstruction assistance that will help Ukraine survive as a sovereign state.

The support the U.S. continues to give Ukraine is also seen as a factor that could - in time - force Russia to come to the negotiating table in a more serious way.

"The pressure it faces on the battlefield, the dire economic situation it is in at home. We hope that these forces will come together and that will force Russia to come to the negotiating table in a way that really involves good will," Price added.

Recall that Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24.
