The U.S. has banned imports of Russian oil and gas from Russia. This was announced by President Joe Biden.

According to the president, this decision was supported by all political forces of the Senate. Biden also stressed that the U.S. can afford such measures, but Europe is more dependent on Russian energy resources, so the process of refusing to import them will last longer there.
