If Western countries are unable to close the skies over Ukraine from Russian missiles and aircraft, Ukraine can do so on its own. Provided it receives fighter jets and air defense equipment.
The secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksiy Danilov, wrote this in FB.
According to him, Russia miscalculated and the whole world rallied around Ukraine after the invasion began.
"We thank everyone for every bullet, every voice in defense of our state and every word in our support. We thank our British, Canadian and Dutch friends for their initiative to create an International Support Group for Ukraine. But right now, at this moment, at this day, at this minute, we need the fastest and most practical help, on the provision of which depends the Ukrainian victory and not the loss of the West, it is a question of protecting the Ukrainian sky - the transfer of combat aviation and air defense means", - said Danilov.
He stressed that it also determines whether Russia will kill Ukrainian women and children.
"If NATO does not want or cannot close the sky over Ukraine, we will close it ourselves, give us weapons, if your weapons lie in the covers," the secretary of the NSBO added.
Recall, earlier President Volodymyr Zelensky said that American President Joe Biden can do more to protect Ukraine and stop the war.
