The Ukrainian delegation did not get the results in the negotiations with Russia that it had hoped for, Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, said.
"To our great regret, we did not get the results we hoped for. The only thing I can say is that we discussed the humanitarian aspect in detail, because quite a few cities are now surrounded. There is a dramatic situation with food, medicines, with the possibility of evacuation," Podolyak told reporters after the second round of negotiations with representatives of the Russian delegation in Belarus.
Communiqué:
"The parties reached an understanding on the joint provision of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians, the civilian population, as well as for the delivery of medicines and food to the places of most fierce fighting, with the possibility of a temporary cease-fire, for the period when the evacuation in the sectors where it will be carried out. That is, not everywhere, but only in those places where there will be humanitarian corridors, there may be a ceasefire. To this end, special channels of communication and interaction will be organized in the very near future and appropriate logistical procedures will be formed.
