The Board of Directors of Ekho Moskvy decided to liquidate the radio station and the media website. Earlier, the RF Prosecutor General's Office had called for restricting access to these resources.

Alexei Venediktov, the radio's editor-in-chief, announced this in Telegram.
"By a majority vote of the Ekho Moskvy Board of Directors decided to liquidate the radio station and the Ekho Moskvy website," Venediktov wrote.

It is also reported that Roskomnadzor demanded that Google remove the Echo of Moscow app.

Recall, on March 2, the General Prosecutor's Office of Russia demanded to restrict access to the radio station "Echo of Moscow" and the TV channel "Dozhd", claiming that they spread false materials and call for extremist activities.

It should be noted that this media outlet was one of the few in Russia that published truthful information about the situation in Ukraine.
