The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank will allocate to Ukraine more than 3 billion dollars of assistance, including assistance to refugees, education and health. This is reported by the UNN with reference to the IMF application.
"In the World Bank Group, we are preparing a $3 billion support package in the coming months, starting with a budget support operation of at least $350 million, which will be presented to the Board for approval this week," the statement said.
The statement said $200 million would go to support health care and education. The package would include mobilizing funding from several development partners.
"The World Bank and IMF are also working together to assess the economic and financial impact of the conflict and refugees on other countries in the region and the world. We stand ready to provide enhanced political, technical and financial support to neighboring countries if needed," the statement said.
Recall, the IMF will allocate $2.3 billion to Ukraine under the Stand-By program by the middle of this year - forecasts Fitch Ratings.
