A meeting between Russia and Ukraine is to be held on March 2. This was reported by a Russian source, TASS reported.

"The meeting between Russia and Ukraine is to be held on March 2, as originally agreed," the report reads.

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said that the talks between Ukraine and Russia, which took place on the border with Belarus, were hard, but without any ultimatums.

On February 28, the delegations returned to their countries for consultations.

The talks were held near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. Belarusian Foreign Minister Vadym Makey addressed the participants at the start of the talks.

The Ukrainian delegation consists of David Arahamia, chairman of the Servant of the People faction; Oleksiy Reznikov, Ukrainian Defense Minister; Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the presidential office; Andrey Kostin, first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group; MP Rustem Umerov and Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Mykola Tochitsky.

The key issue of the negotiations is "an immediate cease-fire and withdrawal of troops from the territory of Ukraine," the Office of the President said earlier.
