Russia's lightning fast punitive action in Ukraine failed miserably, so the Kremlin's stonewalling rats become more dangerous - Danilov

The lightning-fast punitive action that Russia planned to carry out in Ukraine in one or two days has failed miserably, so the Russian military and political leadership, becoming more dangerous, realizing that the Hague Tribunal awaits it ahead, said Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov.

"Day 6 of the Ukrainian national resistance! Ukrainians, our Armed Forces, the TRO, all who have taken up arms are doing the impossible, holding back and dealing crushing retaliatory blows to the Russian occupation army, which for some reason the Kremlin considered invincible... What war criminals in Moscow had planned to complete in one or two days as a lightning punitive action, has failed miserably. This has become clear to the world, and is beginning to be understood little by little in Russia itself. That's why the stalled Kremlin rats are becoming especially dangerous, crossing the line and rejecting any legal, moral, legal restrictions in the rules of warfare," Danilov wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.

He noted that realizing that only the prospect of the Hague Tribunal awaits all of Russia's military and political leadership ahead, they "go for broke."

"This alone can explain the barbaric shelling with Grads of the city of Kharkiv with a population of one and a half million people. The destruction of the historical pearl of Europe - the city of Chernihiv, the shelling of Bucha, Irpen, Gostomel and dozens of other Ukrainian towns and villages. The city of Volnovakha is on the brink of a humanitarian disaster. Wounded, killed, deprived of their own homes. This list of crimes by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and its people will be brought before international courts and no one will escape punishment. We promise them," stressed the secretary of the NSDC.

Danilov added that the sixth day of resistance to the occupiers was hard and tense, but the enemy is on the verge of exhaustion at the moment, while the Ukrainian resistance forces are only getting stronger every day.

"We have the whole Ukrainian people behind us and the support of the most influential countries in the world. Russia is a terrorist country left in blatant loneliness, without allies, without honor and dignity! Let us fight, let us hold on, and death to our enemies! Glory to Ukraine!", summed up Danilov.
