Russia will have to talk to Ukraine about the invasion situation, and the sooner it does, the less the losses of Russia itself will be, President Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced.

"Russia will still have to, sooner or later, talk to us, talk about how to stop the fighting and stop this invasion. The sooner the conversation begins, the less Russia itself will lose," Zelensky said in a video address to the Ukrainian people Friday morning.

He noted that the sanctions imposed Thursday by the U.S. and other countries have not changed Russian Federation's mind.

"Did yesterday's sanctions change Russia's mind? We hear in our skies and we see on our soil that it's not enough. Alien troops are still trying to activate on our territory," Zelensky said.
